A Visionary Legacy
The late Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin is fondly remembered as a visionary who transformed his passion for cars into the Naza Group — one of Malaysia's largest family-owned conglomerate. In 1975, At the age of 21, he began importing used Japanese cars by utilising his savings earned from helping his father’s construction business. He was successful in selling off his entire stock within three months and later established a used luxury vehicle dealership in Kuala Lumpur. His journey from humble beginnings to remarkable success continues to inspire us.

A Water System for the Orang Asli and The Remote Community at NAZA Agro Plantation
For many years since the establishment of NAZA Agro Plantation, access to a clean and reliable water supply has been a challenge for the surrounding community and plantation workers. Some had to rely on river water or venture into the forest in search of natural water sources, while others travelled to Bandar Raub to purchase drinking water, which could take at least an hour’s journey.
To help address this challenge, Yayasan has supported the installation of a water system at Surau Seri Zaleha, located in NAZA Agro Plantation. The system draws water from a tube well and uses a submersible pump to channel water to two water tanks, each with a capacity of 800 litres. This provides a total storage capacity of 1,600 litres of water. The water is channelled through approximately 250 metres of piping from the water source to the tanks and the designated points of use.
The system includes six new water taps at the surau, three taps inside the surau, and one outlet at the elevated water tank. Completed within seven days, the new water system is expected to benefit approximately 50 members of the Orang Asli community from eight families in the surrounding area, helping to provide more convenient and reliable access to water for their daily needs.
More than just providing access to water, this initiative aims to bring a more reliable, accessible, and sustainable water supply closer to the Orang Asli community, reducing the need to travel long distances just to obtain clean water. Through this initiative, Yayasan hopes to improve the daily lives and well-being of the Orang Asli community, particularly those living in remote areas, while ensuring the water system continues to meet their daily needs for years to come.
