Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin Shares Love And The Light Of Hope During Ramadhan
KUALA LUMPUR, 5th June 2018 – In the spirit of sharing and giving of the Ramadhan month, Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, the CSR arm of the Naza Group, today brought joy to over 130 orphans, underprivileged single mothers and Muallaf from several homes as part of their annual buka puasa and Zakat contribution initiative.
The residents of Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih, Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Yatim & Miskin Rukaiyah, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Nasuha, Bait Al-Hasanah, Madrasah Tahfiz Baitul Mahabbah, and Pusat Perlindungan Muallaf Baitul Salam enjoyed the scrumptious ‘Buka Puasa’ meal at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) while interacting with Naza employees, and also received a total contribution of close to RM110,000.
“The holy month of Ramadhan is about sharing, bonding and togetherness. Through this special Iftar, we want to give back to the community as thanksgiving for the successes and blessings Allah S.W.T has granted during the year and sharing them with the less privileged. We endeavor to be the ‘Light of Hope’ for these communities by inspiring them with support, love and care,” said SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin, Group Executive Chairman/CEO, Naza Corporation Holdings.
SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin was beaming from ear to ear as he and his family personally handed a ‘duit raya’ packet to each special guest and watched their faces light up as they received them.
He added that the experience helped many volunteers including himself to realise how fortunate they are to have loving and complete families. “I was touched by how much happiness a simple ‘duit raya’ packet could bring to these people. While most families are celebrating however, it is just another ordinary day for everyone in welfare homes. This is why we make a special effort to spread a little cheer by treating them during this upcoming festive season. We hope to become a part of the ‘family’ that they never had”.
Also present at the ‘buka puasa’ were the other Naza Group shareholders including Puan Sri Datin Seri Utama Zaleha Ismail, Marion Caunter Abdullah, Nur Diana SM Nasimuddin, and Nur Nadia SM Nasimuddin, the Naza Group Board of Directors and employee volunteers who also joined the special guests in their “terawih” prayers after breaking fast.
Yayasan Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin was established in honour of the Group’s late founder Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin with a mission to provide aid to the underserved communities in Malaysia based on three key pillars; Education, Community Development and Healthcare.
